ur resident Hearing Aid Audiologist in Peterborough is Simon Whipday FdSc RHAD MSHAA. Simon has been in the hearing aid industry for more than 20 years, and has a Degree in Audiology. He started his career working for one of the world's largest hearing aid manufacturer's and has also worked for one of the large national hearing aid companies.

Simon has decided to pursue his career in the independent sector which he feels is more focused around the individual patient's needs and lifestyle requirements. Working for a family run independent business like Sound Advice Hearing Simon is able to offer more professional time and focus to help his patients to hear to their full potential. He feels this is not always possible working for the larger companies where the amount of time and personal touch, along with good old-fashioned values are sometimes lost. With his wealth of experience and access to all the different hearing aids he is confident in making a real difference and improving the quality of his patient's lives. Along with his receptionist Jane Fensom, they provide a friendly, informative and caring service that is second to none.

Simon is a fully qualified Hearing Aid Audiologist registered with the Health & Care Professions Council and is a member of both the British Society of Hearing Aid Audiologists (BSHAA) and the Association of Independent Hearing Healthcare Professionals (AIHHP).

Like all of the Hearing Aid Audiologists working for Sound Advice Hearing, Simon is a Clinical Ear Care Practitioner, providing a comprehensive clinical earwax removal, advice and wax management service. He is trained to perform instrumentation, irrigation and micro-suction, which he trained to do at Rotherham Hospital.

Unlike some companies we feel it is important at Sound Advice Hearing to be able to offer all of our patients a full range of wax removal solutions, not just one. This is because clinically, it may be that one method may be more beneficial than another, or it may be necessary to carry out a combination of procedures to ensure safe and proper removal.

simon-whipday
