Also a Hearing Aid Dispenser and Clinical Audiologist, Peter Jones started his audiology career with the NHS in Rochdale in 1986. In 1993, he joined BMI Audiology as a Hearing Centre Manager, and then became their Assistant Clinical Services Manager. He left BMI Audiology after 6 years\u00a0 and established the Alexandra Hospital Hearing Centre, which he operated for 10 years, in 2009 he joined forces with Brian Unsworth to set up HearingMatters. Hearing Matters was established to offer a full range of Ear Care and Audiology services to both the general public and the medical profession. Peter is an expert in the integration of assistive technologies for those with hearing loss pertaining to telephones, televisions and background noise. He also fits the SpeechEasy anti-stammering device, and is one of only a small number of Audiologists who do so. He also provides diagnostic audiology services for ENT consultants. And he supports law firms in helping individuals who suffer from noise-induced hearing loss due to excessive workplace noise levels. Peter has a particular passion for helping people who already have hearing aids, but who have had difficulty using them. He is an audiology evangelist, using social media to ensure that we all have as much information as possible at our disposal to make better choices about how to get the most from our hearing. He also likes to take best practice from other fields, such as technology, health care and business, and apply it to the world of Audiology improving the service that he and other Audiologists can provide. <\/p>","slug":"peter-jones"},"err":false}
